Manika Arbab Aslam

Brief Bio

Manika Arbab Aslam is a dedicated academic professional serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Southern Punjab (USP), Multan. With nearly a decade of experience, she has played a significant role in both teaching and departmental leadership at the institution. She is a long-standing member of the faculty, providing instruction and guidance to students in programs such as BS Psychology and M.Phil Psychology. Ms. Arbab served as the organizer for the 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences hosted by the university. She has participated as a speaker and panelist in departmental programs like Psychology Unplugged, a semi-formal discussion series featuring senior faculty. She has been actively involved in the department’s community initiatives, such as representing the university in the Psychological Profiling of the Police Department (Multan) in 2021

Teaching Philosophy

While individual teaching statements are often internal, Ms. Arbab’s philosophy can be seen through her active role in the department’s pedagogical approach, which emphasizes holistic student development and real-world application. Key pillars of her approach include: She aligns with USP’s mission of hands-on learning, moving beyond textbooks to involve students in practical projects.  

Collaborations and Honors

In August 2021, she was a selected member of the faculty team that collaborated with the CPO Multan for the Psychological Profiling of the Police Department. This initiative was part of the department’s social responsibility to support law enforcement mental health.
