Prof. Dr Muhammad Uzair
Brief Bio
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Uzair is a distinguished pharmacist, academic leader, and researcher with extensive experience in pharmaceutical sciences and higher education. He has served as Acting Vice Chancellor of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan, and as Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy at BZU Multan. Currently, he is serving as Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Southern Punjab (USP), Multan.
He possesses strong research expertise in pharmaceutical chemistry and natural product chemistry, with a significant contribution to the scientific community through 80+ research publications in national and international journals. His work reflects a deep commitment to advancing drug discovery and development, particularly through natural product-based research.
Prof. Dr. Uzair has also played key roles in academic governance and regulatory bodies. He has served as a member of the Syndicate at BZU Multan and contributed to public health and pharmaceutical regulation as a member of the Quality Control Board and as well as he served as a member of Drug court for the period of 9 year.. He is a registered pharmacist with the Pakistan Pharmacy Council, contributing to the advancement and regulation of pharmacy practice in Pakistan.
With a strong commitment to academic excellence, research innovation, and institutional development, he continues to play a vital role in strengthening pharmaceutical education and Allied Health Sciences in Pakistan.
