Prof. Dr. Misbah ul Islam

Brief Bio

Prof. Dr. Misbah ul Islam, has retired from Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan on April 4th 2024 after 30 years of service, as a tenured Professor of Physics. He did his Ph.D. from BZU in Materials Science (magnetic materials) in 2002. He was awarded an HEC scholarship for Post Doctorate at Colorado state University, Fort Collins, USA in 2007, where he got expertise on Ferromagnetic Resonance (FMR). During his service he extended his services to various committees at university level. He has supervised 11 Ph.D. scholars and 58 M.Phil scholars on various topics of his field. Moreover he has published 110 research papers in impact factor peer review international journals. His research focuses on nanocomposites with oxides and sulphides & graphene oxide for absorber applications, and energy harvesting materials.   

At USP, he is committed to mentor research students to contribute to socio-economic development of the country.
