Brief Bio

Prof. Dr. Zahiruddin Shaikh is an experienced Mechanical Engineer, in Department of Mechanical Engineering & Technology at the University of Southern Punjab, with more 32 years of experience in industry and academia in the areas of Materials, Design, Manufacturing, Quality and Quality Assurance ensuring quality, integrity and reliability of Structures and Machine Components. His classified area is the design of components for Atomic Fast Breeder Reactors, and he was assigned a research project by Risely Laboratories of UK Atomic Energy Authority during his Ph. D studies.

Engr. Dr. Zahiruddin Shaikh has presented his research findings in national and international organizations such as Pakistan Atomic Energy and Khan’s Research Laboratories (KRL). 

At USP, he is committed to providing quality education, research opportunities and mentoring young engineers to help Pakistan to improve its industrial infrastructure and be a part of the club of industrially developed countries.
