Brief Bio

Engr. Muhammad Shakeel Hassan is an Assistant Professor at the University  of Southern Punjab, Multan with over 18 years of cross-functional experience in industrial operations and academic research. His expertise spans Water Engineering, including fluid mechanics, water resource management, environmental engineering, and eco-hydraulics. Leveraging international research experience from Sweden and Germany, Engr. Hassan is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Hydraulics. His academic mentorship includes supervising over 20 engineering projects and contributing to multidisciplinary research initiatives in collaboration with government bodies such as the Planning and Development Department, the Punjab Irrigation and Drainage Authority, and WASA. His current research addresses critical regional and global challenges in eco-hydraulics, climate change mitigation, and environmental sustainability. Dedicated to academic excellence, he focuses on mentoring the next generation of engineers and enhancing Pakistan’s technical capacity in water resource management.
