Dr Taimoor Gurmani

Brief Bio

Dr. Muhammad Taimoor Gurmani specialises in Linguistics, with a major research focus on Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL). He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at the University of Southern Punjab, Multan, where he also works as Research Coordinator. His work explores how mobile technologies, digital tools, and CEFR-based frameworks can improve vocabulary learning, language proficiency, and learner engagement in ESL/EFL contexts. He holds a PhD in Linguistics from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. His publications focus on MALL, CEFR vocabulary profiles, technology-assisted language learning, WhatsApp-based vocabulary learning, learner autonomy, and corpus-based vocabulary studies. He has supervised many MPhil scholars and actively contributes to research in applied linguistics, digital language education, and technology-enhanced language learning.
